Fiber in the Boro is over for this year, and we had a blast.
We hope you enjoyed it as much as we did.
Many thanks to the Rutherford County Agricultural Extension for making the day possible with their support and the great facilities at Lane Agricultural Park. We could not have had this event without them.
A big thank you goes to Nancy Oxford and her students from MTSU who volunteered to help answer questions, direct traffic, load and unload vendors and helped with whatever we needed.
We are also grateful to The Blue Porch for stepping in at late notice with wonderful food (I’m still savoring that cinnamon roll) and great coffee. You must have liked it too since they sold everything they brought!
The Shelbyville Fiber Guild were a great hit with their weaving and spinning demonstrations, their Weasley arms and their free form coral reef. (We’ll get pictures up soon!) Their friendly smiles and good humor were unflagging.
We were delighted with our vendors who brought a really interesting mix of fibers, colors, supplies and finished products.
Lori, Irma and Ty were unfailingly cheerful and helpful, helping with anything and everything and have our gratitude.
One final thank you goes to our instructors. We’ve had really positive feedback about the classes, and are happy to see our plan to convert the world to textile arts is underway!
We are going to get some sleep, then regroup and start planning for next year. We will be communicating with vendors and updating this site with information as things go along.
If you have any comments of suggestions for us, please go to the Contact Us page and send us an email. We’d love to get your feedback.
Next up is the Middle Tennessee Fiber Festival in Dickson. We’ll see you there!

Guys, a wonderful festival, very well organised and I absolutely loved the volunteers and their willingness to help me set up my booth – it was the first time I was unable to bring help, so their assistance was super essential to me! The attendance surpassed my expectations, and I too felt that a wide variety of products was presented by the vendors. I’ll definately be back next year to support your festival and to meet up again with my new friends
Well done!
